Where a Kid Can Be a Kid

Yesterday we headed out to Chuck E. Cheese's with my nephew, Isaac, in tow. It was a weekday, which meant it was not crowded. Nice!

After gobbling up the average tasting pizza (we were hungry!) we were off to play.

After Quinn ate, he hung out and "chatted" with us while we finished eating :)
First stop for Reagan... Merry-Go-Round!

Isaac raced for free several times until Bill tried it. Then, the game decided we should be using our tokens. Bummer!

The Wheels on the Bus

Reagan raced in the Kentucky Derby with some help from Daddy for steering. The poor horse probably suffered a concussion. She ended up in the wall an awful lot.

Quinn spent his entire trip enjoying a free ride in his new sling. As you can see, he seemed to like it. He slept the whole time we were there.

Reagan was rockin' around the clock
while....

Isaac concentrated on Deal or No Deal. He won 6 tickets.

Reagan rode a virtual roller coaster. The seat jumps, shakes, and rocks. I wasn't so sure how she would like it, but she did.

Dance party and starring in her own video

Isaac riding on a crazy bike

Reagan's new accomplishment at Chuck E. Cheese's was climbing. Last year, she was just too short to make it. Plus, Bill and I were a little afraid to let her in the tubes in case she got lost or stuck. We certainly wouldn't have fit! This year, not only is she older, but we had Isaac with us should an emergency situation arise :)

This would be Kate. A little girl also enjoying the tubes. They appear to be enjoying themselves right? Well, it lasted for about as long as that smile on Reagan's face. Kate was a little more touchy-feely than Reagan enjoys. As she tugged on Reagan's arm and shirt, I could see the breakdown brewing. I yelled up to Reagan to just finish climbing through and go down the slide. However, the little girl wouldn't let Reagan through. She blocked the path and held on to Reagan. I have to say, Reagan did use her words and told the little girl to let go, but Kate wasn't the kind of girl who liked to listen. You teach your kids not to hit, but if that was me, I probably would have given the girl a good push and ran for the opening. Not Reagan. Enter...full-blown meltdown. So, here I am, down on the floor yelling up directions and there's Reagan at the ceiling (having a panic attack) with a child stalker.
But, wait! I brought my emergency back-up!
Enter...
Isaac to the rescue!!

Isaac climbed up and recued Reagan. She was so happy to see him!
Our Hero!!
Super-hero wasn't finished yet though! The little girl, Kate, had been up there for a good 45 minutes. Her grandma and pregnant mom had been trying to tempt her down without much luck. Isaac went up tubes for a second rescue. This time for Kate's poor mom. Both missions were a success. Thanks Isaac!!

Just as we were about to leave, Quinn woke up. So,
he posed with Stewart Little before we left.
Xia (my niece) & Quinn chillin' back at the house.

Hey! I wasn't even thinking of your comment when I posted pictures! Poor Josh. He knows I love him! (although his picture secretly isn't posted b/c I use it to scare away mice in the basement). :)
