Brrr...

With another snow day today, Reagan and I bundled up and hit the slopes. Okay, so maybe more like our slopey backyard. Have I shared my great dislike for cold weather?! I sucked it up though for the thirty minutes we were outside. Then, I had to make her come in before she turned into an ice cube.

She enjoyed me pulling her around the yard. I really wanted to see if we could switch. I would have much rather been the pullee vs. the puller. Does this mean I get out of working on the elliptical tonight for good behavior? not to mention the grueling workout of huffing it up hill hauling thirty pounds.

Here she is making "pawprints" in the snow. She was a lion at the time. Minutes later she transformed and became...

...a penguin. She informed that penguins go down hills on their bellies.

Now, we're back inside getting ready for a rousing game of "Lucky Ducks".

Future Pop Star

Reagan has really been into singing. The quality of words tends to decrease while eating the microphone, but it's still pretty darn cute. I had two, this one(which is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star if you can't pick up on it) and "Mary Had A Little Lamb". Since she's the artist, she had last production say-so.

Yesterday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. Wouldn't you know it, we forgot the camera!! I took pictures with my cell, but now can't find a data cable to work with my phone. She loved it!! If you haven't been there, they have the toddler version of "Dance Dance Revolution" with spider stomping, which she LOVED! She's already making plans to go back!

A Toddler's Perspective

Reagie and I were snuggled under our favorite blanket getting ready to watch an episode of one of our fave's "Blues Clues". As some of you may know, several years ago, the show had a transformation of "human" characters that proved to be tramatizing. It went from the original Steve to his "brother" Joe when he went to "college". At the time, I didn't have my own children but worked with toddlers on a daily basis in their homes. I think it was truly more tramatizing to the moms than the kids, b/c that's who I heard the most complaining coming from. Anyway, as Reagan and I got ready to watch and, thanks to re-runs, those tramatized mothers still get to catch a glimpse of Steve, an old episode with Steve came on. Reagan looked up at me and said "Looks like Joe needed a break today. It's Steve's turn". If only we could all be a little more adaptive like our kids.

A Surprise Visitor

We had a surprise visit this weekend from my brother. We were super excited to see him, especially Reagan.

Reagan and Jim cuddle up for the evening, or so we thought. Jim ended up crashing, but Reagan kept going strong. Surprise, surprise.

So, she and MawMaw made some play dough creations instead.

Reagan and her favorite Saturday activity...art!

She's been making drawings of people too. This one is a man with curly hair. Usually, there are legs and arms included from the head. I have to say I am very impressed with her ability to draw people. She includes eyes, ears, nose, mouth and hair, which most of my preschoolers couldn't do that when I started the year with them. She loves to draw and write. She has more notepads and pens than anyone I know.
