We have been looking forward to Oglebay Fest for weeks now. It's been a tradition for the past few years.
This is Reagan last year at Oglebay Fest. What a different a year makes! Also, notice the jacket and pants. This year, shorts!
Last year was Reagan's first experience with a pickle, and loved it! This year, she's such a big girl. However, sadly, Oglebay Fest was a huge letdown this year! We went as soon as Bill got home from work so we could catch dinner before heading out to the Fair section for Reagan, so she could see the animals and the crafting section for me:) Sounds like a good plan right? WRONG!! Apparently, this year, the food, crafts, and animals shut down at 7. 7???!! What are they thinking?7:00 is a bit early. I could even see 8, but 7? It's still light out. People work. ugh! Bill swears he's contacting head of festivities to complain. Whatever appeases him.
We did get to eat, but nothing else. Poor Reagan didn't get to see the promised farm animals and mommy missed out on jelly from the jelly man (black-raspberry jelly--a must-have stock item for the year) and crafts. We were so disappointed. The one and only highlight...a trolley ride. Reagan's first time in a large community transportation vehicle. She called it a funny-looking bus. She was so excited.

I'm so glad we didn't try to go with you guys considering I hate the food we would have been even more let down. LOL
So now we just need to find a craft fair to go to--maybe that serves pie.
