Since we have a good many pictures, here's a breakdown of our stay with Jim and Laney.
This is the Grist Mill at Babcock State Park. This is the famous Mill you typically see in the art pictures during fall and winter. On the day we were there, it was working. There was a guy inside feeding the machine to make cornmeal. It was actually neat to watch the whole thing.
Reagan actually more enjoyed the falls further down stream. She threw in leaves to watch them be swept up and take a 90 degree plunge straight down.
This slide was super tall. Jim almost had heart failure letting Reagan climb up and go down, so he climbed up with her. I have to admit, my heart fluttered a bit too. Let's face it, my little girl is not the most coordinated soul.
An old-school teeter-totter.
Reagan decided it was her turn to push Uncle Jim, so they switched.
Stay tuned for Part II: New River Gorge
